I was searching the Colorado Springs area for a personal trainer when I found Tim Hilley. Firstly, I found him very responsive in setting up an appointment for a consultation.
During that meeting, I was incredibly impressed by the depth of his knowledge about fitness and nutrition. I am a “beginner” when it comes to the gym–I’ve been a gym-goer for my whole life but frequently rely on the machines because otherwise, I’d have no clue what I’m doing.
I don’t know about muscle groups apart from the basics, and when it comes to nutrition, I have a very general understanding of things.
In my initial meeting with Tim, I, therefore, had TONS of questions, which he was able to clearly and thoroughly address. I had an “assessment” session with Tim in which he had me perform a couple of exercises (squats and deadlifts) in order to
1) assess my current form and
2) help me fix it.
I found both of these meetings to be so insightful and advantageous that I immediately stopped looking elsewhere for a personal trainer because I knew 100% that I had arrived at the right match for me and my goals.
